Rush Hour 2

It began when Chief Inspector Lee (Jackie Chan) and Detective James Carter (Chris Tucker) were taking a vacation to Hong Kong. Unfortunately when they just arrived, a bomb exploded in the American Embassy. Then, Lee was assigned to the case by China Police Department. But U. S. Secret Service didn’t want Lee to be involved this case, because the victims were Americans. So Lee investigated this case personally with James Carter. Then, they knew that the man behind the bomb exploding is Ricky Tan, Lee’s father partner. Then Tan was known as the leader of Triads, the most dangerous gang in China. They discovered that Ricky Tan would be attending a party on his boat.
Finally, they went to that boat at night and found Tan. But when they found Tan, he said “There’s a internal conflict in Triad, I’ll need your help, Lee,”. But when Tan still talking, he was being shot by Hu Li, a sexy women who always accompany Tan in Triad. In the chaos, Hu Li escaped from Lee and Carter. After that, China and U. S. Police Department kicked out them from that case and Carter has been commanded to go back to U. S. But Lee and Carter wanted to solve this case personally. Then they went to L. A. to continue the investigation. On the plane, Carter told Lee that in every big case had a rich white man behind it. And that man was Steven Reign, a man they have met in Tan’s boat when Ricky Tan had been murdered. He has been so suspicious because he has been so calm when Ricky Tan murdered.
Then they went to Reign’s tower and spied Reign’s girlfriend, Molina. Then they saw that Hu Li deliver a pack to Molina’s room. They suggested it was a bomb. Then they saved Molina. But when the pack opened, it was fake money. Then Molina told them that she’s a secret service agent and she gave information that Tan was still alive, he had cheated Lee and Carter. Tan has produced fake money. Molina asked them to find where was Tan produced that money.
Then the investigation brought them to Las Vegas. They realized that the fake money laundered at Steven Reign’s casino, Red Dragon Casino. Lee and Carter bought ‘casino style’ clothes and went to Red Dragon Casino to find the place where Tan used it for producing fake money. Unfortunately, there, Hu Li captured Lee and placed a little bomb in Lee’s mouth and gagged him. Hu Li took him to Ricky Tan. After Tan had said few words, he left Hu Li with Lee. In the chaos, Hu Li shot Molina on her arm. Lee spitted the bomb from his mouth just before Li detonated it. After Lee had spitted the bomb, he chased Tan and Carter faced Hu Li one on one. After Carter had beaten Hu Li, he followed Lee and in the ensuring chaos Lee and Carter found Tan and accidentally kicked Tan out the window. Tan fell to his death outside.
Hu Li then entered the room with a bomb on her hand. Lee and Carter leaped out the window just as the bomb went off, sliding on decoration wires with their jacket. It was amazing they were still alive.
This film ended at the airport. U. S. Secret Service Agent (Molina cs.) thanked Lee and Carter for their amazing investigation in this case. Then Lee, Carter and Molina went to the separate ways; Carter to L. A., Lee to Hong Kong, Molina to New York. Before Lee and Carter went to their separate ways, Lee had given the most important thing in his live, his father badge. Then, Carter gave Lee $10,000 that he has won at the Red Dragon Casino. Thinking about that money, they changed their plan and took a vacation again to another place, Big Apple.

The Chipmunk that Ran Away

Once upon a time, there was a nervous little chipmunk. She was always afraid that something bad happened to her. One day, she heard a little noise. It was really only an apple that fell to the ground. But the little Chipmunk was afraid and said “The sky is falling in.” Then she railed away as fast as she could go.Soon she met an old brother Chipmunk, who asked, “Where are you running to, little Chipmunk?”And the little Chipmunk answered, “The sky is falling in, and I am running away.”
“The sky is falling in?” said the old brother Chipmunk. And he told the story to his brother chipmunk, until at last there were a hundred brother Chipmunks shouting, “The sky is failing in.”

Soon the larger animals heard what the Chipmunks were saying. The Deer, the Sheep, the Pig, the Camel, the Tiger, and the Elephant began to say, “The sky is falling in.”Then the wise Lion heard all the noise and wanted to know what was happening. He stopped all the animals and asked, “What are you saying?” The brother Chipmunks said, “Oh we heard it from that little Chipmunk!” And the Lion said, “Little Chipmunk, what made you say that the sky was falling in?” And the little Chipmunk said, “I saw it there near the tree.” “Well,” said the Lion, “Come with me and I will show you how something”. “Now get on my back.” The Lion took her on his back, and asked the animal, to stay where they were until they returned.

Then he showed the little Chipmunk that the apple had fallen to the ground. This made the noise that had made her
afraid. The little Chipmunk said, “Oh, I see. The sky is not falling in.”
the Lion said, “Let’s go back and tell the other animals.”
So they went back. At last all the animals knew that the sky was not falling in.

“ The unlucky goat “

One day, a fox fell into the well and couldn’t get out. By and by a thirsty goat came along. Seeing the fox in the well it asked if the water was good. “good” said the fox. “it’s the best water i’ve tasted in my life. Come down and try it yourself”.

The goat was thirsty so he got into the well. When he had drunk enough he looked around and but there was no way to get out. Then the fox said “I have a good idea, you stand on your hind legs and put your forelegs against the side of the well. Then I will climb on your back, from there I will step on your horns, and I can get out. And when I’m out I will help you out of rhe well”.

The goat did as he was asked and the fox got on his back and climbed out of the well. Then he coolly walked away. The goat called out loudly after him and reminded him of his promise to help him out. The fox merely turned to him and said, “if you only had thought carefully about getting out, you wouldn’t have jumped into the well”.

The goat felt very sad. He called out loudly. An old man walking nearby heard him and put a plank into the well. The goat got out and thanked the old man.

tugas recount by atika nurani

29 09 2008

In August 2002, I was 17 and already looking forward to senior prom the following May in my hometown of Edgewater, Maryland. I’d found a perfect dress –a long, white gown- but my skin is naturally fair and I felt too pale to wear it. Some of my friends went to an indoor tanning salon, so I decided to go too. My mom knew it was dangerous and didn’t want me to go. But there was no law restricting tanning bed use by minors, so I went without her permission. I started lying in the bed for eight minutes at a time once a week. After a few weeks, I built up to 15 minutes three times a week. I never used sunscreen and I burned a lot, especially during the first few months. I planned to stop after prom, but the big day came and went, and I kept tanning. I got so dark that some people said they hardly recognized me –but I liked myself tan, and I never felt tan enough. I was addicted. I continued to tan for the next two years.

AFRO

24 09 2008

When I was very little, my hair meant that my mom, who is white, became very crafty very quickly, at doing a little black-and-white girl’s hair into braids or pigtails–one or two or three. It meant sitting on the toilet lid every morning, gritting my teeth as she pulled and parted and paved my long, wild hair. It meant easy princess curls on picture days, the other girls in awe, their curled hair gone flat. Still, I longed to be Rapunzel, with her long, let-down-your-hair hair, and my mom was smart with yarn, so I got my prince-catching braids. When I turned 11, mom got tired of the daily yank-and-braid. She took me to Mr. Gene, who insisted that a shag would give the look of long straight hair. “Liar,” I thought, as I sobbed into the mirror at the final do. He’d fluffed it out lovingly and handed me a pick. My friend Cindy came over. “It’s cute,” she said, and I could tell she meant it. But I was sullen. “It looks like an afro,” I growled. She’d been waiting, I guess, to get back at me for the time I’d told her earnestly, “You’re fat.” “Afro!” she cried, and it became a playground taunt.

There were so many places to see in Bali that my friend decided to join the tours to see as much as possible. My friend stayed in Kuta on arrival. He spent the first three days swimming and surfing on Kuta beach. He visited some tour agents and selected two tours. The first one was to Singaraja, the second was to Ubud.

On the day of the tour, he was ready. My friend and his group drove on through mountains. Singaraja is a city of about 90 thousands people. It is a busy but quiet town. The street are lined with trees and there are many old Dutch houses. Then they returned very late in the evening to Kuta.

The second tour to Ubud was a very different tour. It was not to see the scenery but to see the art and the craft of the island. The first stop was at Batubulan, a center of stone sculpture. There my friend watched young boys were carving away at big blocks of stone. The next stop was Celuk, a center for silversmiths and goldensmiths. After that he stopped a little while for lunch at Sukawati and on to mass. Mass is a tourist center

My friend ten-day-stay ended very quickly beside his two tour, all his day was spent on the beach. He went sailing or surfboarding every day. He was quiet satisfied.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears

19 09 2008

Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Once there were three bears that lived in a house in the woods : a papa bear, a mama bear, and a baby bear. One morning they decided to take a walk before breakfast to let their porridge cool.

A little girl named Goldilocks lived with her mother nearby. Golddocks took a walk through the woods and found the bear’s house. She snielled the porridge in the kitchens and went inside. Goldilocks tasted the porridge in each bowl and finally ate up the porridge in the small bowl. Then she sat on a big chair, but she didn’t like it, because it was hard. Afterwards she sat on the small chair, and it was just right. But while she was sitting on it she broke it. After eating the porridge, Goldilocks felt full and sleepy, and then she went upstairs. There she found a small bed. She lay down on it and fell asleep.

While she was sleeping, the three bears came home. When they went into the kitchen, they got very surprised. Someone had tasted their porridge, even eaten up baby bear’s porridge, while they were taking a walk. Moreover the poor baby bear was upset when he found that his little chair broke into pieces. When they went upstairs, they found out that Goldilocks was sleeping. Baby bear cried out, “Someone has been sleeping in my bed and here she is!”

Goldilocks woke up when she saw the three bears; she jumped out of bed and ran out of the house to her home. Never again did she make herself at home in anyone else’s house.
